Rebecca

My name is Rebecca and I've been a sitter with Katie's Kitty since November, 2023.

I live in the Lower East Side and provide care for furry family members in my area. My hobbies include going to museums, visiting parks, doing yoga, and photography. I work full time in social services at an organization that helps people who are experiencing homelessness.

I've had cats for many years and have had plenty of experience taking care of them as well as other cats throughout my life. I have considered my cats as my own family members, so being able to take care of other cats and keep them company while their family is away is an extremely fulfilling role for me.

As a kid we always had at least one cat at home, as well as at my grandmother's house. At my grandmother's, China was a huge grey tabby cat that lived almost 15 years, and Henry came after that. At home we had Woody, named after Woodrow Wilson, and then came Madeline and Celli. As a young adult I had a dog, a sweet rescue mutt that I named Mr. Perry. He was very fun and full of energy.

Today I welcome the pet sitting jobs I get. Caring for other people's animals fills a space in me and I love it. I hope to spend some time with your furry family member soon!
