Hey there! My name is Emely (yes, with two E’s). I am a new sitter at Katie’s Kitty (Fall 2020) and found my way here while seeking cat-specific pet sitting after working as a dog and cat sitter through Rover. My years of professional and personal experience as a cat sitter include duties like playing, feeding, cleaning, grooming, brushing, litter cleanup, and administering liquid and tablet medications.

More about me: I’m a medical receptionist at an urgent care center and I live in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Currently I’m also taking pre-nursing classes part-time at City Tech. I am passionate about medicine, technology, and of course cats! Pet sitting is the ideal job for me, as I love traveling around my city (on my bike) and love spending time with cats. Areas I can cover include Bedford Stuyvesant, Williamsburg, Bushwick, Greenpoint, Park Slope, and Carroll Gardens.

Since I only work three days a week at the urgent care center, I’m lucky enough to be able to care for cats and kittens on my off days. I have a 3-year-old sweet rescue of my own, and have always had cats all of my life.

As a cat owner I know how important it is to choose the right sitter. I’m reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely love caring for cats and kittens. I have always enjoyed the company of animals, especially felines, and would love the opportunity to help keep yours safe and happy. I have about three years of prior experience caring for cats and kittens—both as a pet sitter for Rover as well as for family and friends—and have great references.
